From the initial feedback I received, it seems that people enjoyed the overhead projector, some things that were said about the piece is that It seems out of this world, a cosmic unseen world and that it seems alien.
Some things to look at in terms of where this work could go is to make it look more 3D, something you are completely immersed in
The group liked that the samples were collected from a familiar place but questioned whether or not the Petri dishes were needed.
I really enjoyed the feedback I got from the crit. I'm glad that people commented that it seemed like another universe and liked the surprise when they found out what the image actually was. Moving on from crit week I think I need to look at the presentation of my work more. Potentially also looking into virtual reality for the full-body immersion effect. I would also like to see the projected images move and I feel this could be looked into in the future. I’m enjoying the process of growing the bacteria and feel like continuing with this as the end result is surprising and exciting to me because I can't control how it will grow, what texture and shape it will be. I do think I should document the process better in my next attempt but it is still a way forward
