As a special treat for the Easter holiday, my lecturer challenged us to make an Easter bonnet that relates to our work. my immediate thought was to make some kind of plague doctors mask. However, I altered mine to use Petri dishes for lenses as they have become an important element to my work. I like that the Petri dishes are the lenses of my mask as they are what helps to reveal and let me see the bacteria grow from the samples I collect.
Another element is the bacteriophage crown, this was inspired by my initial giant welded sculpture of the same shape, also because this is the most common bacteria in the world.
